Teacher Training Options
The Yogi Perogi is a Registered Yoga School (RYS) through the Yoga Alliance, which is the largest non-profit organization representing the yoga community and maintaining standards for high quality, safe, accessible and equitable yoga practices. We offer teacher trainings throughout the year that can be applied towards CEUs for current teachers. Additionally, The Yogi Perogi is authorized to provide the following Yoga Alliance certified teacher trainings:
- 200RYT - Consider this your Bachelor's degree for yoga (200 hours)
- 300RYT - Consider this your Master's degree for yoga (300 additional hours)
- RYPT - This training covers prenatal and postnatal yoga (85 hours)
- Aerial Yoga 1 & 2
- SUP Yoga
200RYT Yoga Teacher Training
Are you interested in diving deeper into yoga? The 200RYT training is perfect for those that are interested in developing their personal practice and/or for those that are interested in teaching yoga. During the training, the teacher trainees will learn the following:
- The different styles of yoga
- Pranayama techniques
- Meditation methods
- Sequencing and teaching a class
- Anatomy and Physiology
- History, Philosophy and Ethics of yoga, the yogic lifestyle
- Business of yoga
- Practice teaching
- Practicum (written exam and teaching a class)
- Mentor program
The focus of the 200RYT will be mainly on vinyasa style yoga but will cover other styles as well, which may include restorative, yin, Ashtanga and prenatal. Whether or not you decide to teach yoga, you will walk away with the confidence to practice, to teach, and to create sequences for a group or personal practice.
We will meet 9 weekends. There will be outside reading, homework and personal practice requirements between each lecture/practice module. We will provide a mentor during your training to give you opportunities for one on one teaching and learning experiences. For the duration of the training, 200RYT students will be able to take UNLIMITED yoga classes at The Yogi Perogi. It is required to have at least 6 months of a personal yoga practice prior to beginning this training.

Payment plans are available. Total tuition ranges from $2800-$3000.
This individualized training is designed to build on your current 200RYT. You will complete multiple training modules of your choice that encompass 300 hours and will focus on teaching, personal practice, philosophy, anatomy, lifestyle and ethics. In order to fulfill these hours, we offer several courses throughout the year that range from 2-5 days. See below for examples of some courses that we offer/have offered in the past. Check out our calendar of Events to see what courses are being offered next. Practice teaching is incorporated into each training. You can receive your 300RYT in one year or it can take as long as 2 years. We do not recommend taking longer than that.

Aerial Teacher Training Level 1
Aerial Yoga Level 1 will give you an understanding of basic yoga postures that utilize the aerial hammock in a safe manner. If you have an aerial silk at home but are not familiar with how to practice with one, this training will bring you the confidence and understanding you need. If you are interested in teaching others how to practice aerial yoga in a class setting, you will learn how to effectively teach a class and provide safe assists where necessary.
After one intensive 3 day weekend (Friday evening, Saturday, Sunday) you will gain a deeper understanding of the foundational poses of Aerial Yoga (including basic inversions) and Aerial Restorative Yoga. You will also be given a clear understanding of how to teach these postures in a group and individual setting. Providing safe assists to students will also be covered. Additional requirement includes taking Aerial Yoga, Aerial Yinyasa and Aerial Restorative as a student. You must take at least 4 of these classes (each one at least once) at the studio during a one month span.
RYTs: This training counts as CE credits and the hours can be applied towards your 300RYT at The Yogi Perogi Registered Yoga School.
Successful completion of Aerial Teacher Training Level 1 is a prerequisite to Aerial Teacher Training Level 2.

Aerial Teacher Training Level 2
Aerial Yoga Teacher Training Level 2 builds on the knowledge gained in Level 1. Now that you are familiar with the foundational postures, you will learn various progressions and dive deeper into more advanced postures for a stronger practice. Learning to sequence will also be covered. There will be plenty of hands on exercises to help you become comfortable providing additional assists and spotting when necessary.
This training is a 3 Day Intensive weekend training (Friday evening, Saturday, Sunday).
Successful completion of Aerial Teacher Training Level 1 is a prerequisite to Aerial Teacher Training Level 2.
RYTs: This training counts as CE credits and the hours can be applied towards your 300RYT at The Yogi Perogi Registered Yoga School.
Prenatal/Postnatal Training - 3 Modules
You do not need to be a yoga teacher, or even want to teach yoga to take this training. Maybe you just want to learn more about what to expect before delivery and what you can do to make your pregnancy a little easier. If you are interested in teaching prenatal or postnatal yoga, this training will provide lots of information on the changing body during and after pregnancy and ways to modify yoga poses to best benefit the pregnant body as well as introduce prenatal specific asana. We will cover many of the common ailments of pregnancy and how to help alleviate them, as well as learn breathing and meditation techniques. Lots of practice teaching is included. Postnatal/mom and baby yoga is covered in Module 3.
Completion of all 3 modules of this training earns your Prenatal Yoga Teacher Training Certificate (85 hours) recognized by Yoga Alliance.
